After the Training
The Mankind Project™

The ManKind Project™ is a registered non-profit organization with certified organizational centers in 27 different communities in the United States, Canada and England, and developing centers in several more countries around the world. It is a progressive and non-sectarian, non-partisan alternative to other men's organizations.

Since 1985, more than 35,000 men from diverse races, faiths, nationalities and sexual orientations have completed New Warrior Training Adventure weekends.

The New Warrior Training® that would later become the NWTA was founded in 1984 by three men: a former Marine Corps officer named Rich Tosi; Bill Kauth, a therapist and member of the "mythopoetic" men's movement; and therapist Ron Herring, Ph.D..
What Happens After the Training?

Several days after you have completed your initiation into manhood, you are welcomed back into the community of your families, friends and fellow Warriors at a graduation ceremony. There, you will join a small voluntary team called an Integration Group, or I-group, which will help you integrate the training into your life.

I-Groups

Integration Groups have proven as valuable as the training itself, so we urge each graduate to join one. Integration Groups vary in their make-up, some are wide open, others not; it depends on the shared vision of the group.

Commonly, I-groups meet once a week in the evening. These groups are a continuation of the journey of doing personal examination of one's life challenges. No one's life is static! Whether it is an unresolved experience or a present difficulty, group members learn to be more aware and better leaders in life.

There are more than 21 Integration-Groups that meet weekly in Arizona. Integration groups allow men the opportunity to stay connected with other men, to the ManKind Project world community and to important issues in their own lives.
The Arizona MKP Community

There are more than 1100 New Warriors in the Arizona Community. New Warriors are men who have attended a New Warrior Adventure Training Weekend®. ManKind Project offers the weekend in Arizona, Utah and throughout the world
