The Mankind Project Arizona

The New Warrior Training Adventure®
Am I Ready?
We do not recommend this training for every man. We urge you not to apply to this program without serious forethought, and not to enroll simply at the urging of a spouse or friend. To participate in this training, you must be willing to face the prospect of transformative change in your life.

You must be highly committed to your life, and ready to participate fully in all training activities, many of which encourage you to take a hard look at yourself, your deepest fears, your wounds from the past, and the specific ways in which your life is not working for you. We choose to work only with men who are ready, and willing to do this initiatory work with us.

A Poem
by Chris Golden

A man alone.
Destined for to find his throne.
Set out on his quest of suffering.
Unknowing the chosen path was his own.
Saddened by all things thought to be real.
Would only stop, think, but forgot to feel.

Feeling, you see, is what first brought him to his knees.
His heart, so big, made the pain so great.
As time flew by his sadness turned to hate.
Sad for the things he thought he had lost.
Never living in the moment, never knowing the cost.

Now the man realized, while being alone, “I got myself here, not the things I don’t own”.
So if it’s me that has failed, then who can I trust?
But I can’t give up.
Move on I must.

Along the way, he learned many things.
Wisdom is doing, be loving not fearing, find yourself and then you’ll be living.
The things seemed simple but when applied.
His life began to change.
Back came the twinkle to his eye.
Seemingly lasting for only a minute then passing.
But better than death.
So come to know your breath.
The patience must last.
Leave behind the past.
Perfect takes practice.
Be perfect now, then future becomes vast
I don't know how many thousands of dollars and hours I have spent on personal growth seminars and workshops over the years.

The 40 hours I spent on the NWTA were by far the most impactful and beneficial out of all of them.  For the first time, I not only discovered what was stopping me in my life, but I finally have been able to heal and move on.

For the first time in my life, I look in the mirror and I love the man I see looking back at me!

"I'll Do It Later..."

A "no" to now is a still a "no", which may be a metaphor for putting your life on hold, rather than "being" and actively living your life with high intention, passion, and purpose. As men, we are adept at ignoring or putting off handling our emotional lives. We assign that job to mothers, wives, and girl friends, and then are unhappy with how they handle the job we gave them.

You are encouraged and invited to take charge of your own emotional life, to stand up for yourself, ask for what you need and want, and to make your own choices as a man among men. You can find all kinds of reasons to not do the training. " I don't have the money"; "I don't have the time"; "I am previously committed to something else"; " I am busy"; "I don't need to do this now"; "my therapy is adequate to get me through life"; "I can't take time away from my family or my work", and "I am in fear of what might happen".

These and many more reasons have been used to justify the word "no". Only you can make the choice to do the training. Only you can make the commitment to improve your life. Only you can say "yes" to the invitation to come to the weekend.

Once you make the choice and feel the commitment within you, the money and the time will be there. There will be no reason not to go!
